There she stands,
Upon the shore,
She holds his heart forever more,
As he sails upon the sea,
Souls to ferry to eternity.

He’ll come again,
This she knows,
Though lady fortune’s a fickle lass,
As is she,
Calypso, goddess of the sea.

His job he’d done,
And rather well,
As he rode upon the swell.
The decade passed, he came to land.
And his beloved was not at hand.

In a rage he returned to sea,
And called the corsairs upon she,
Who betrayed he,
Who’d done the job as she pleased,
And loved her unconditionally.

The pirates wanted control of the sea,
So he handed over she,
And the secret that kept her free.
The ruler of the sea,
Bound in her bones for eternity.

Tortured was she,
In this single form.
To his job did he return.
But abuse did he the duty she gave,
And did not ferry souls from their watery grave.

His heart turned cold,
And hard and black,
So out it came,
From his breast,
And came to rest in the chest.

The years passed by,
And they lived on.
Her harbored hate,
Without a name,
And absolutely no one to blame.

She played her cards,
So carefully,
And among the corsairs she stayed.
Until the time should come,
And to her divine form return.

The time did come,
And with a fight,
The pirate court did free,
In desperation,
The queen of the sea.

Revealed to her,
Was the truth,
And in her rage a storm.
A violent tempest and maelstrom deep,
The battle still raged on.

He saw her rage,
And his impending doom.
A stab to the heart,
That sent him to his grave,
And ruined another young lover’s heart.

There she stands,
Upon the shore,
She holds his heart forever more,
As he sails upon the sea,
Souls to ferry to eternity.
This poem is about the relationship between Calypso (Tia Dalma) and Davy Jones from Pirates of the Carribbean. This is weird becaue I haven't even seen the movies recently... I <3 POTC!

This is how the fear spread on the land foot can't be set, the bards to make'em hear.
